I find myself listening to Tom Leykis on my evening drive home after class. He’s a chauvinist, a pig if you will and I hate to admit it but I agree with a lot about what he has to say. I do think there are plenty of women out there only looking for a free meal and anything else free they can get. Do I think that is all women? No.
Tonight’s topic was break ups. Different people called in talking about how they had been broken up with, and or broke up with someone else. Some of it was funny, some downright sad but it did make me think about my own breakups. I started to think of my own break ups or lack thereof. I mean the last time I broke up, we got drunk; had great sex and ended up not breaking up at all. I’d honestly take that method any day. However, I’ve had my share of nasty, dirty, down right mean break ups. Ones where nothing good can come from it; to the point that you change everything about your life to avoid the other person and pray that the other person forgets you ever even dated.
Breaking up
really shouldn’t be so hard if you look at it from the Leykis perspective which
might not be to bad. I mean you tell the person it’s over and then move on.
Easier said than done, oh hell yeah. Does it make life easier in the long run,
of course. The bitterness I felt from my last break up is still with me. I
still get angry about the way things played out, the way we both went for the
throat in the end. I don’t ever want to feel that way about someone again. The
hurt and anger. I think that the next time I break up with someone I’m going to
rely on technology.
50 bucks seems a small price to pay
really.
