Texting has become my primary mode of communication in most cases. The only other person that I speak via an actual phone is my mother who gave up on text messaging some time ago, and now won’t even pay to receive them. For all uses I like the ease of text; especially with applications like BlackBerry Messenger. I can hold more than one conversation, and keep up with almost everyone with the slightest of ease.
Today
however I almost threw my phone against the wall while entangled in to one of
the most frustrating conversations of all time. I am just wondering how many
times you can say “we are not communicating via well via txt” and the other
person not realize they might need to pick up the phone. Due to the
circumstances it wasn’t my call to actually call; but I’d figure after 4 times
of expressing frustrating with exclamation points, and ALL CAPS and eventually the
other party would catch on. This time it was just not the case.
DAMN YOU
TECHNOLOGY! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL
I had to do stop IM with my husband this week when we were not communicating well. I feel your pain.

Well you already know my view of text messaging as a lame substitute for the more personal voice-to-voice (if not face-to-face) communication. I think it's responsible for increasing the superficial nature of most relationships these days. Ugh.
